Last year when we interviewed Nidhi Tiwari from Women Beyond Boundaries,
she was just back after spearheading a trans-continental expedition from
Delhi to London. It was a team of three and she was the only driver! Well
this time, she has outdone her last by a major scale and are we not proud
of her! On December 29th 2016, she became the first Indian to drive across
the coldest inhabited region of the earth and she did it all driving SOLO!
Not impressed? This is a road where even seasoned truck drivers (belonging
to that very region) double up because going there alone is like signing
your own death warrant. Our lady in shining armor did it alone!

Children who live and work on the streets are a common sight across India. They might look happy, but most have a horrific story to tell.

‘Doraemon’ is a popular manga and anime involving a robotic cat who travels back in time to help a young boy. Among Doraemon’s many tricks from the future is the ‘Anywhere Door’ which can be opened to transport people… well, anywhere. A VR take on this idea uses simple props to make a unique VR experience.
Bandai Namco’s ‘Project i Can‘ has made the Anywhere Door a (virtual) reality using the HTC Vive, Leap Motion, and a few simple props tracked with attached Vive controllers. The result is a compelling experience that turns the ordinary into the extraordinary. In the video heading this article you can get a glimpse of the Doraemon Anywhere Door experience which saw recent installations in out-of-home VR locations in Japan.

"As coding begins to seep into digital technologies curriculums across Australian schools, this transition can at times be seen to equate with raising a classroom of coders.
Craig Smith, Deputy Principal of the Aspect Hunter's School for children on the Autism spectrum, wants us to take a few steps back.
"Rather than thinking every kid will end up being an app developer one day, we're seeing it from the perspective that there are fundamental ways of addressing independent life skills and ways of thinking that coding is able to uniquely tap into," Smith told The Huffington Post Australia."
